As is our tradition, each year we come together on GivingTuesday to give gifts to honor the devoted staff of Hope International. We send the funds you generously give to be directly distributed to the over 70 staff who continue to serve the students in Liberia.
As we are all aware, teachers around the world rarely have salaries that reflect their importance in the lives of the children they teach or the tenacity required to do what they do each and every day. The salaries of Hope International staff are stretched even further as those who hold predictable income in Liberia are often caring for many extended family members. Your generosity on GivingTuesday will allow us to honor each of them and will make the holidays brighter for their families.
One of the staff members who your GivingTuesday gifts will benefit is Bessie Cheachea.
Bessie is a beloved third grade teacher, mother, and grandmother. She has been educating students of Hope International since the doors opened 16 years ago in 2008. Through Hope International’s opportunity for stable employment, she has been able to provide the necessities for her family. After teaching all day she attends college courses to further her education. Bessie continues to impact the students and community of Hope International in profound and meaningful ways. Your generosity this GivingTuesday will support Bessie and the staff of Hope International as they support so many others inside and outside of the classroom.
This GivingTuesday, December 3, we are setting a goal of raising $4,000 to benefit our 70+ Liberian teachers and staff.
Will you join with us in honoring the importance of Bessie Cheachea and the over 70 additional Liberian staff who continue day after day and year after year to give of themselves in the work of Hope.
